This year's celebration of Boogie's birthday is touched with sadness.
This page is dedicated to the memory of Boogie's brother, Teddy,
whose joy, love and beauty were too soon taken from his family.

Oakengates I Adore Theodore (July 17, 1997 - July 4, 2002)

Wow, what a year!

This time last year, we were visiting family in Massachusetts
and waiting to see if our house in Tennessee would sell.
Our veterinarians bought the house, and we were off on a new adventure!
I live in Colorado Springs now, and what a difference it has made in my life!

We lived in the RV for about 3 months while we made the move.
As you can see, I'm very comfortable there. The dash is perfect for a nap,
especially since my people put that foil stuff in the windshield to keep it cool.

The only thing I didn't like about living in the RV is that when it rains, my people make Scooch and me wear these silly boots. They say it's to keep us from tracking in mud, but I think it's because they like everyone stopping them to say how cute we look.

I did get to practice my herding skills in the basketball court at the RV park.
I was supposed to get my very own radio-controlled toy, but I'm still waiting.

One of the very best things about living here in Colorado is that we get a pretty good snow every once in a while!

Scooch and I had a great time with Reanne, my people's granddaughter who lived with us for most of the school year. Reanne has gone back to live with her mom now, and I miss her. When there's a thunderstorm, I go upstairs and lie on her bed and drool all over it. That way, when she comes back for a visit, she'll be able to tell that I thought about her a lot.

I love the snow so much, I try to bring it all inside, but it never lasts very long.

Well, as you can tell, I'm very happy and healthy, and I love my new home!
I've enjoyed sharing some of my experiences with you, but now it's time to go enjoy my special day . . . we'll go for a nice long walk, have a special dinner, and snuggle a lot.

If you ever get to come to Colorado, be sure you come visit us!
Scooch and I will be watching for you!
